Gracie & Carter

Carter's best little friend in the world is Gracie Smith.
Carter will do just about anything that she tells him to do which could very well be the reason why the two get along so well together.
One day Gracie was hanging out at our house and I decided to take pictures of them...
I love the way Grace is trying to pat Carter's head in this picture. She really tries to make sure that he is taken care of...as long as he is being nice to her. They are so funny to watch together and I am so happy that we have such a great friendship with the Smith Family.

So much to post...so little time to post it!

We really have been doing things, I just haven't had much time to post about them. Last weekend the boys went with Sam on the father and sons campout and I think they really had a great time. I wish I had pictures to show but I forgot to pack the camera for them. Needless to say, I had a wonderful (less than 24 hours) all to myself. Saturday we went to Oceanside and spent some time visiting with Sam's mom and his family while they were enjoying a mini vacation there. Again, I really wish I had some pictures to share but I didn't even think to bring the camera with us.

Then on Sunday I enjoyed a wonderful Mother's Day. The Thursday before, at Ms. Michelle's preschool, Porter had made me a beautiful pin for Mother's Day. He was so excited to give it to me that he unwrapped it himself and pinned it on and everything. That night while he was sitting by me he asked "Mom do you really love the pin I made you?" I told him that I loved it very much. He then said "Someday, I will make you a necklace to go with it." I thought that was such a sweet thing. Anyway, Sunday morning I was ready for church and all I needed was to put my pin on and Porter had lost it. I was very sad because I was excited and proud to wear it to church. On the way to church Porter told me that we could say a prayer that we could find my pin. I love it when he tells me things like that. Needless to say, Sam found it in our bed that night when he got under the covers. How it got inside the bed that was all made I have no idea.

I have to mention that my husband kept me very well fed all day long. For breakfast he (and the boys) made Belgian Waffles. He made some yummy lunch for us when we got home from church and then we were off to my parents house so he could start preparing dinner for the moms. He made really tasty steaks seasoned with lots of yummy herbs and made a shallot reduction sauce to go over it. He also made a salad with avocado, red onion, red peppers with vinegar and lemon and then served bacon wrapped shrimp on top of it. He made salmon for my mom with a tasty dill sauce. I'm telling you the man goes all out when he cooks and it always tastes so good!

It really is hard for me to post without pictures so I thought I would share these pictures from a couple weeks ago. We went to Mulligan's for a couple hours so the boys could play some games and then Sam decided to take the boys to the batting cages to hit some balls. They were so excited to swing the bat and wear the helmet but when it got down to standing in the cage while balls were thrown at them, well they didn't want anything to do with it. I got some cute pictures anyway and Sam and Ken atleast had a good time in the cages.
